“Small, Medium, Large – they all belong to God”
Decisions. You and I make decisions every day. And for many of those decisions we don’t give things a second thought. We make snap decisions and it seems to work well for us. Then something big will happen in our life. We will pray and pray and pray and ask God to give us wisdom to make a good decision. But What if the decision has been changed by all the little decisions we have already made? What if our options on the big decisions looks different because of all the little decisions?
We all have big decisions in life and for many followers of Christ we take time and pray over those decisions. But what if those decisions have been changed by the hundreds of other decision in which we didn’t bother to pray or get any Scriptural insight on? It is a frightful thought.
Let me see if I can give you an example of what I am talking about. For many Christians marrying another Christian is a priority. They value that decision as important. But I have watched many who set this priority NOT marry a follower of Christ. How did that happen? Simple. They started by thinking they could decide who to date. And after they “fell in love” with a certain boy or girl this value no longer mattered. They might pray for God to save this person and pray that God would bless their marriage. But ultimately because their first decision was not guided by Scripture the big decision has been altered.
This happens in other things as well. The big idea is we must realize how important ALL our decisions are and start finding ways to filter better and make better decisions in our lives. Otherwise we might find ourselves missing something great God wanted for us because we made too many bad decisions on our own.
So let’s get into Scripture. Let’s use Biblical Values to shape the decisions we make no matter how small we think those are.
